Started in 2011 as International Anti-Street Harassment Day, International Anti-Street Harassment Week takes place during late March. In 2012, the dates were March 18-24.
During International Anti-Street Harassment Week, community members, activists, students, and bloggers join forces to speak out about gender-based street harassment and work toward solutions. Around the world, people share their stories, challenge the social acceptability of street harassment, brainstorm community responses, and take action to end it.
